Grandfather’s funeral song

Yeah, this week sucked. My grandfather went in for heart surgery and didn’t come out of it. It was weird, nostalgic, and different coming back to the dry sunny desert. Arizona was the one place i lived in for over 4 years. It’s the closest thing to home I know. It was nice to see my family again, its been much too long. He was my only real grandfather I had left, and of all of my other absent grandparents, he was one of the more likable ones. HE was a Navy and Airforce pilot who helped design the F-14. I hope this weekend will bring me closer to my family that I hardly know. Oh well, death… is. I sang i song I wrote a year ago, the first I ever wrote. I was extremely nervous to sing it, even though I sing it every time I et on a stage. The lyrics go:

Grandmother Sue

She taught me how to sing

She taught me how to sing

Now that she’s gone

Lord I still sing along

To her favorite song

Now that she’s gone

Now that she’s gone

Grandfather George

He told me always do right

He taught me to do right

Now that he’s gone

I still remember to do good

I still do right

Now that he’s gone

Now that he’s gone

And little boy

I can’t wait to teach you

To teach you about love

And when I go

Please don’t you forget me

Dont forget how to love

When I go boy,

When I go

Pics of this weekend up soon.
