sorry it took so long to get these pics up, more ballard adventures. my new favorite place: blackbird! but there’s a downside, way too expensive for a college kid.
Virtual dinner with the family (including lauren). It was weird. They had meatloaf. I miss good food. the meatloaf they served here was dry and bland. I don’t know what my mom’s tastes like (as it was her first attempt at the dish) but the real problem is that I wasn’t there to experience it with her. I’m grown up?
Dangit.
Oh well. Went to Ballard this weekend, played some tunes. pics up soon!
Jason Munn is one of my favorite artists. I have his National print, and i love it. Most of the posters are so simple and clever. It’s easy to fall in love with them.
Lauren came to visit! I have never been more excited than when she came off the plane. I had flowers and sweetened dried strawberries for her when she got off. We went straight to my school, danced to louis armstrong and look at my fantastic view of down town at night. We spent the next few days eating cupcakes and drinking coffee. It was a wonderful weekend, spending time with her. I’m excited for Thanksgiving, but it’s so far away. More pics up on flickr, just click through
more ballard! i really am loving this city. lauren is here this week! lots of pictures to come!
So today my friend grabbed me at the last minuet to go to a music festival inBallard. Ballard is my new favorite place. It took a 45 minuet bus ride, but was totally worth it. we came just in time to hear a singer/songwriter named Lindsay Fuller. the venue was the back of a bar/restaurant called Hattie’s Hat. It was one of the most intimate venues I’ve been in. The room could probably hold 10 people, but it was packed full. While Lindsay’s was nice, I love the part of town because it felt like how Decatur is to Atlanta. It seemed like a smaller more intimate grouping of artists, rather than a jumble of people in a city area. There was this awesome guitar shop that had no name. The guy collected weird guitars. The picture above is from this shop. I’m liking Seattle.
